For this week’s Artist Spotlight, we’d like to introduce experienced and award-winning illustrator Greg Newbold! Greg’s career began as a graphic illustrator in the software industry. After deciding to pursue a full-time art career, Greg earned his MFA in Illustration in 2009, expanding his skill set to include both digital painting and gallery oil painting. He now has over 20 years of experience as a freelance artist, having been commissioned by notable clients such as Simon & Schuster, Heinz Foods, Harper Collins, Sony Pictures, Smuckers and many more.

Greg has also illustrated a number of children’s books, including The Touch of the Master’s Hand, Winter Lullaby, Spring Song, The Little Match Girl and The Barnyard Night Before Christmas. Two books illustrated by Greg, If Picasso Painted a Snowman and If da Vinci Painted a Dinosaur, were also written by his wife, Amy Newbold.
