We’re so excited for this week’s Artist Spotlight! Introducing Lizzie Mary Cullen, an award-winning illustrator based in London. Lizzie’s textured, brush and ink style intricately conveys subjects ranging from the conceptual to the spiritual to the futuristic. She has worked with a plethora of clients, including MTV, HTC, Oxfam, First Direct, Lewis Hamilton many more.

Check out this video she created for the team at Lewis Hamilton, followed by a selection of her beautiful illustrations:

In 2015, Lizzie created the international, best-selling coloring book trilogy, “The Magical City,” with Penguin Random House. The books are sold all across the world and are available in over 14 languages!

In addition to her illustration work, Lizzie also speaks publicly to creative communities all across the UK. Most recently, she gave a talk at the British Library in London on “Reasons to be Creative,” where she discussed the topic of change during one’s creative journey. Lizzie comments that her work has changed immensely over the years, and that most her talks center around change and failure—specifically, how being open to both is the best tool for learning.

Lizzie also gave a talk about her work for the World Illustration Awards in 2016**. She was very grateful to be asked to speak at the awards considering the high calibre of talent being honored, and she had a lot of fun doing so as well!

Currently, Lizzie is working on a new body of work in order to develop a new style. We can’t wait to see what she creates next!
