Big Draw

We had a great day at the Big Draw in Seaford last Monday. Here’s a peek at what we did….The theme this year was ‘Draw Tomorrow’ which could be interpreted however we wanted. We decided to go for a futuristic space theme.
We covered the walls in big sheets of Ultramarine paper, and let the kids loose with lovely soft coloured pencils, felt pens, brightly coloured papers, glue sticks and tape. This is the result. There were lots of pop-ups and 3-D effects which I hadn’t expected, it’s nice to be surprised! Some families stayed ages, so it must have been good…
Thanks for everyone involved, everyone who braved the weather to come see us,  all our wonderful helpers, Heather, Wendy, Bernie, Linda, and thanks most of all to Nicky Auster who organised it, she is amazing, and works so hard to make the Crypt a vibrant art space for the community. Thanks for asking me to be part of it! What will we do next year…..?
