Busy, busy day

Busy, busy day

Hey guys,

I had a pretty busy day today so unfortunately I wasn’t able to start any new paintings, but I was able to work a bit on revising my site.

Art directors, as any who might be reading this blog will be painfully aware, are incredibly busy people who often need to review dozens if not hundreds of portfolios within a short period of time while managing their many responsibilities.

Since I would prefer my portfolio to make their jobs easier (ensuring they won’t mind looking at my work) I’ve tried as hard as possible to keep my site as clean, easy to use, and accessible as possible. Ideally, a portfolio site should put as few mouse clicks as possible between an art director and your artwork.

So, with this in mind, I removed all the lightbox java from my site and replaced it with a simple scroll function which will hopefully keep art directors happy.

If you are trying to build your own site, feel free to post questions below as I’d be happy to help you work on your own sites with what coding knowledge I have.

As you know by now, you can check out my site here: http://www.nicholaskay.com/

Also, I have been doing the narration for the Death Cult Assassin today/tonight so I really hope to post it either late tonight or tomorrow morning (somewhere around midnight or 9-10 am). Regardless of when it’s finished, I’ll keep you all updated here!

I just finished editing the narration and am exporting it now. This will take a while, so I will post it tomorrow morning as soon as I am able. Thanks for waiting!
