Daniel Hertzberg had the amazing honor to work with Hill Holiday on branding and illustrating this year’s Bank of America’s Winter Village at Bryant Park. His illustrations were used for entry pillars throughout the park, dasher boards that surrounded the ice rink, light towers, entrance gates, barricade covers, and numerous promotional materials, including Bryant Park’s website, banners along 42nd Street and a major ad in Times Square. Make sure to check out his work if you’re in New York, the rink will be open until March, and it’s free admission–We can’t think of a better combination!

The buildings in the background were based on a row of apartments that Daniel saw while he was in Harlem.
Daniel wanted to give off the sensation that the Winter Village was the warmest, happiest place in Manhattan. Daniel purchased figures from stock image sites and used a lot of his own photography, including elements of Bryant Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Yankee Stadium to name a few. His photos of the park were taken during the summer. Daniel put his own winter touch by adding snow to the lamp posts and chairs.

|Fun Fact: The trees at Bryant Park are London planes, which had to be shown as well.|

We’re excited to make our way to Bryant Park for some skating and winter fun. We hope you have the opportunity to view his amazing work in person, too! Fatal error
