Donald Trump has been the subject of a few recent assignments- great fun to draw and entertaining to watch. It’s a little frightening to see how quickly he has gone from an easily-dismissed novelty to the presumptive Republican nominee. I kept changing the action of his supporters as Trump went from one outrageous statement to the next. Below is an earlier version taking off on the Megyn Kelly flap concerning past misogynistic statements:
Here’s another version done for an animated short of Trump and Hillary Clinton. I tried to keep the drawings a little simpler and stylized for animation while still getting the (exaggerated) likenesses. Watching their speeches on YouTube helped with the gestures- those parallel index fingers are classic Hillary.
