When the editor of AAB Transfusion decided that the peer-reviewed journal at scientific organization *Advancing Transfusion and Cellular Therapies Worldwide,* needed to have more impactful covers that were more relevant to the important research featured each month, they knew medical illustrator Linda Nye was perfect for the job. As their editor browsed the Medical Illustration & Animation Sourcebook’s medillsb.com website, one of Linda Nye’s red blood cell illustrations caught her attention immediately. She saw right away that Linda’s vibrant, attention-grabbing illustration style was just what they had in mind.

Linda Nye has been providing technology visualization for annual reports, books, journals, education materials, advertising, and the Web pages for biomedical, pharmaceutical, computer and aerospace clients since the 1980’s. 

Her clients include publishers like McGraw-Hill, Time-Life, New York Times, Scholastic, Wired, BusinessWeek, and numerous others; pharmaceutical and biotech companies like Genentech, Amgen, Smithkline Beecham, Hoechst Marion Roussel, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Merck-Medco, US Surgical, Allergan, Baxter, Eli Lilly and others; and high technology companies; Microsoft, Hughes, and Hewlett Packard, among dozens of others. Many research and non-profit organizations such as BIOCOM, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Burnham Institute, and many universities, have utilized her visualizations.

Linda has won many awards from the Society of Illustrators, AMI, Print Magazine, and the Rx Club. She has served on numerous boards, including the Society of Illustrators and the International Aerospace Hall of Fame and her paintings have been exhibited internationally. She has lectured on visualization at Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic.
