You will fall in love with Australian illustrator and animator Makoto Koji’s latest work – Valentine’s Bun.

Makoto Koji, is a female Japanese/Aussie Animator and Illustrator, born in Hiroshima, raised in the wilderness of rural Queensland and currently based in Adelaide, South Australia. She began her professional animation career in 2007 at The People’s Republic of Animation as an Animator and Character Designer on Short Films (Including Oscar Short Listed – The Cat Piano, 2009), TVC’s, Television Series, Music Videos and Game Cut Scenes.

In 2014, Makoto’s distinct body of work was recognised by QANTAS Spirit of the Youth Art Awards (SOYA Awards) where she was a Finalist in the Animation category. She has been a successful grant recipient multiple times and recently was the featured Animator for LoopdeLoop x WANDAA (Women and Animation Australia) event, where they screened her short films, Peppercorn Babycorn Unicorn and Ko-Oni to celebrate female Animators internationally
