Nathan Smith, represented by AAARep, is back again with another thought-provoking illustration! Last month, Nathan was commissioned by the Financial Times to illustrate for the article, “The Age of the Hoax,” which discusses self-invention in the digital age and how the things we see online aren’t always what they appear to be (read our blog post here). Inspired by his latest commission, Nathan created this illustration to further explore the effect of social media on society. Nathan’s image explores the question: should there be more regulation of Facebook? Nathan sculpted and rendered his image in ZBrush using a simple blue and yellow color palette.

Nathan is an internationally-published digital artist who specializes in CGI, 3D collage, conceptual illustration and more. See more of Nathan Smith’s work on the AAARep website, and check out his Directory of Illustration portfolio here.
