October 9, 2014 Parisian illustrator Phil Constantinesco has joined The Illustration Room. He eloquently states that he “was born in a small town whose name defies the best spellers, somewhere between the Vosges mountains and the Rhine River, on the Eastern marches of France.” We need to know exactly where!
Perhaps this rural environment sparked his passion for flora and fauna that can be seen in vibrant colour in his recent work for marie claire France, right. Featuring detailed colourful toucans, tropical flowers, butterflies and a pink cheetah lazing in the tree. In a more botanical mood he can also draw incredibly fine pencil detail portraits and give a simple object like a sneaker a new life with complex and intricate layers of flowers, leaves and insects. Looking forward to working together Phil.
