THE WORK

UKULELE SHAKESPEARE

What if the midsummer of Shakespeare was a never ending summer? With this personal portrait project I tried to illustrate in a funny way one of the most famous artist in history. Shakespeare in a certain way has been one of the first modern storytellers. In my version he’s looking at the midnight summer sunset in search of inspiration with his ukulele, just like a modern minstrel. For this illustration I used vector’s line with some added effects in a digital reinterpretation of the traditional engraving’s technique.

UKULELE LOVECRAFT

Lovecraft has been one of the most imaginative and influential visionaries in literature, and with his work he inspired horror, sci-fi, music and of course literature itself. In this picture he’s engaged in an invocation singing, playing a ukulele , with a funny friend from the abyss. For this illustration I used vector’s line with some added effects in a digital reinterpretation of the traditional engraving’s technique.

ROBERT JOHNSON’S PORTRAIT

Maybe the devil himself is whispering him some secret licks or maybe they’re just talking about their favorite genre: the blues. One of my favorites too. For this black and white illustration, I used vector’s line with some added effects in a digital reinterpretation of the traditional engraving’s technique.
