The suet block and seed feeder have been visited often by brazen large Flickers, flocks of house finches and chickadees, crows, magpies and starlings, and finally today a shy Downy Woodpecker.
All the other birds were gone, and the apricot tree had this lone visitor, looking in all directions for a long time before going down to the suet block.
The feeding birds are happy spring companions for me. This view reminds me of an Irish children’s song…. “Out my window, window, window, out my window Daisy. Out my window ee i oh…”
