True to its name, Future Power Station, a London-based studio represented by Central Illustration, sure knows a thing or two about creating dynamic, futuristic animations. Directed by Yibi Hu, this multi-disciplinary animation studio combines various techniques including 2D, stop motion, hand-drawn and 3D animation.

Yibi Hu is a multi-award winning visual artist with a diverse and eclectic body of work. He has written and illustrated four volumes of his self-created comic series ‘Keke’—which have sold over 60,000 copies—and has directed music videos for some of the world’s best known artists, including George Michael, Joey Bada$$, Faithless, Zero 7 and Beyoncé. The work he currently creates as part of Future Power Station experiments with 2D illustration, stop motion, 3D animation and more. He has created everything from TV commercials to visual installations for high-profile brands such as Huawei, BBC, BOSCH, Sky, Nike and The FA. In addition to Yibi, the very talented team at Future Power Station is comprised of Geoff Parsons (producer, creative director and filmmaker), Naima Vogt (documentary and animation producer) and Mike Tyler (multi-discipline director).

We’re so excited to share some of the amazing work produced by Future Power Station! Check out some selected animations below, and explore the studio’s portfolio and website for additional work.
