The Downy Woodpecker Is Back

Today the downy woodpecker gave me a better view of himself.  I’m inside at my laptop, shooting at a distance through a window, so the quality is a bit blurry.  This time I could see his pretty red feathered head as he fed from the side of the suet block.  Usually he clings to the other side, where I can only see the tip of his tail.

Soon the flocks of Lazuli Buntings will arrive at the seed feeders.  I am so glad spring is coming!
