My brief was to highlight a recent industry trend in Japanese exports. The author focused in on a recent influx of Japanese products and services to America that have garnered market share in the US. The writer pointed out an American fascination with the Japanese example of service, competence, and quality to the point that in some cases the Japanese manufacturers were producing Americana themed products better than their US equivalents.
The article was subsequently re-written to take a more ‘shopping’ based viewpoint.
