Last year I was asked to pitch 2 different artwork directions to Royal Mail for a special collection of stamps to commemorate the Great Fire of London. I was asked to pitch a series of stamps, in which the scenes depicting the events of the fire run seamlessly between each stamp. Above are 2 of the stamps.

I was very pleased to be asked to work on such a prestigious project for the Royal Mail, unfortunately my pitch was not selected for the final stamps.

On the bright-side, John Higgins’ work was selected for the actual stamps, and for those who know, he was the colourist for Alan Moore’s Watchmen, so i’m still buzzed to be up against some very highly esteemed talent.
