Does anyone want to work anymore? It turns out fewer people do, at least by one measure, according to The Wall Street Journal. While it might be tempting to blame COVID-19 for that shift, it’s actually a continuation of trends that started before the pandemic. Baby boomers are reaching retirement age and young people, particularly men, aren’t entering the workforce in sufficient numbers to replace them.
