If you think the election of Donald Trump is bad news for green energy, you’d be wrong.

The Wall Street Journal says the transition to renewable energy is being driven by technological and economic forces that are too powerful to stop, even by the President. Trump’s energy policies may slow innovation in the U.S., but the fossil fuel sector is in retreat and shrinking while solar, wind and energy storage are experiencing exponential growth. In 20 years mining and burning fossil fuels may very well feel as outdated as having a landline telephone does now.
