Here are some of his latest projects.

Fat Basset Design

Steven Noble was approached by Jim Dumas of Fat Basset Design to render the Nuestra Senora de las Maravillas, a 2-deck Spanish galleon that sank off the Little Bahama Bank in Northern Bahamas back in 1656. The end goal was to use this for an up and coming rum company’s packaging label who was producing a rum named after the ship. The illustration was rendered in a woodcut/engraving style to compliment the heritage and branding for their new label.

Black Bottle Whisky

Black Bottle Whisky was established in back in 1879 by Charles, David and Gordon Graham in the Scottish town of Torphins. They commissioned Steven Noble to hand render a collection of spot illustrations for both their collateral and website drawn in the classic historical woodcut/linocut style. These illustrations encompass the story behind the brand including the history of their early beginnings and founding as well as their distilling alchemy process.

Spirit Hound Distillers

Steven was tasked with creating a customized illustration for a new packaging label for a small distillery in the nearby town of Lyons, Colorado called Spirit Hound Distillers. The etched illustration includes a Rocky Mountain landscape scene with a fisherman standing on a stream with his dog. Their spirits use fresh Rocky Mountain water to cut the proof, and the whisky is bottled as a single barrel from American Oak barrels. Made, a design agency, helped in the art direction and final designs.

Eno River Brewing

Eno River Brewing, a Hillsborough Craft Brewery in North Carolina, is a beer garden and brewery taproom that is located along the Hillsborough River Walk and Eno River. Ebbing Branding helped art direct this custom woodcut logo with Steven Noble which successfully symbolizes this really well graphically.

New Acres

Steven was tasked with developing a series of brand marks for a New Acres located in London. New Acres is a residential development providing purpose-built rental homes for all ages, demographics and social groups. The messaging for their branding also represents their biodiverse planting with over 200 trees. This is reflected in these custom brand marks such as the pineapple, pomegranate, beehive, etc… rendered in a woodcut/engraved style.

House of Applejay

JC Forster of Weston Heights commissioned Steven Noble to render a new logomark for an up and coming distillery called House of Applejay. This distillery specializes in Applejay Likor which is made from natural ingredients and sun-kissed apples grown at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with added fresh fruit, herbs, and spices. The woodcut illustration includes a bear with wooden barrel.

Lakeside Foods

LoopHole Creative called upon the talents once again of Steven Noble to create a custom illustration for Lakeside Foods that is a frozen food company located in Wisconsin which is an industry-leading producer of frozen and canned vegetables hyper-focused on fresh foods. The illustration, art directed by Garrett Owen includes their original vintage building established back in 1887. The illustration was used on t-shirts and was executed in the woodcut style.

Hanzell Vineyards

Hanzell Vineyards, located in Sonoma County north of San Francisco and founded back in 1953, commissioned Steven Noble to render a series of illustrations for their wine labels that includes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These illustrations were hand-drawn in the traditional scratchboard woodcut style that includes a grape leaf, wine cave and distillation rooms.
