Name of the Book: Stoker and Wells

ABOUT THE WORK: This is the back cover for a graphic novel that Barry co-created with writer Steven Peros called Stoker and Wells. Stoker and Wells is the “true” story of how Bram Stoker and H.G. Wells met in London is 1890. They embark on a great adventure which inspires their two great novels, Dracula and The Time Machine, respectively. The drawing was created with pen and ink. It depicts the character Nina fighting off a giant Venus Flytrap. Nina is an Eloi, the elf-like race created by H.G. Wells, but overall she combines the characters Mina from Dracula and Weena from The Time Machine. The Stoker and Wells graphic novel is adapted from Peros’s original screenplay, which is currently in development for television.
