From the Artist: “I was asked by the Italian graphic design studio Ifix Web to collaborate on the new book collections by Luiss University Press. The first book I was asked to illustrate was In AI We Trust: Power, Illusion and Control of Predictive Algorithms, by Helga Nowotny. Professor emeritus at ETH Zurich, Helga has authored many publications in the social studies of science and technology. This book explores the future dominated by the algorithms of AI and what it means to be human in the new world where we entrust more and more responsibility to AI. I tried to represent this world through simple metaphors, imagining the uncertainty of the future under the hands of doom of new sciences.”
