On Wednesday, August 3rd, the overall & category winners were announced at the Somerset House in London for the World Illustration Award 2016. This year’s award marks the 40th anniversary of the Association of Illustrator‘s annual awards.

The Association of Illustrators’ Patron, David Hughes, announced Jimin Kim & Jungho Lee as the overall winners in the Professional & New Talent respectively.

The World Illustration Awards is presented by the Directory of Illustration in partnership with the Association of Illustrators and Somerset House in central London.

The annual exhibition, held at Somerset House’s Embankment East Galleries, will feature over 50 works from across the breadth of illustration and will run from August 1st through the 29th before touring the UK throughout 2016-2017.
