Here is a recent editorial Op-Ed illustration by Javier Aguilar for an article in the La Vanguardia newspaper in Barcelona.

The article featured the 400-year celebration of Miguel de Cervantes’ death and of his major contribution to literature through his bitter-comical story of the noble dreamer titled, “Don Quijote”.

Javier adds:
“This novel is said to be the first truly modern novel to utilize dual characters so I loved working on this assignment because of the challenge of reflecting unified duality for the portrait of the two characters in the story, Quijote & Sancho.”
