Nemu is an illustrator and painter born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She spent the majority of her childhood daydreaming and drawing. Now she is based in Falls Church, VA, right outside of Washington DC. She still dreams and draws, but now she does so professionally.

She’s explored the world, living for a time in Chennai, London, Moscow and of course various cities in Japan and the US. Her exposure to different cultures has influenced her unique vision, which shines through vividly in her unmistakable style. In the past, Nemu worked as a web and graphic designer, but she’s returned to getting her hands dirty with her true passion: making art with pens, inks, and watercolor. When she’s not creating art or daydreaming, Nemu occasionally switches her paintbrush for a sword and fences till she drops.
