About the Artist: Jim Starr is a versatile illustrator with a lifelong passion for drawing, which naturally led him to a career in illustration. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in illustration, he began his career as a staff illustrator at Eucalyptus Tree Studios, where he developed his adaptable, multi-style approach. For over 20 years, Jim has worked as a successful freelance illustrator, creating conceptually strong and well-designed work across a wide range of applications—from editorial and corporate projects to packaging, logos, and event materials. His work, spanning techniques such as scratchboard, watercolor, woodcut, and digital, has been recognized by Print magazine, the Society of Illustrators, and the Washington D.C. Illustrators Club.
