The Directory of Illustration is proud to congratulate the illustrators who were accepted into the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles (SILA) Illustration West 62 Exhibition! Congratulations to: Peter Greenwood, Luisa Jung, Martin French, Mark Smith, Jessie Lin, Chiara Vercesi, Egle Plytnikaite, Aad Goudappel, and Bartosz Kosowski.

The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles presents their 62nd annual Illustration West, chaired by Jon Messer. Illustration West is an annual competition and exhibition highlighting the year’s best illustration – both from L.A. and from all around the world. SILA is proud to represent established and emerging artists and demonstrate that this continues to be an exciting era for illustration.

We received over 1,200 entries from over 441 artists (covering over 30 countires: Australia, Austria, Bangkok, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Egypt, England, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong Sar China, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Taiwan (R.O.C.), The Netherlands, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, United States) this year giving our judging panel (Jennifer Bruce, Ted (Slampyak) Kinyak, Jorge Mascarenhas, Mark Smith and Tetiana “Tania” Yakunova) much to consider.

And they have spoken – 254 terrific pieces of art representing 153 entrants are ready to be known as Illustration West 62.
The Website Exhibition will launch in March.
